DT Health and Safety Course Feedback
“The course was thorough and covered all relevant, up to date, Health, and Safety legislation. There was a mix of paper-based exercises, individually and in small groups, as well as essential hands on practical tasks. The 2 days were well planned and allowed for opportunities to ask questions and explore new techniques for managing class room practical tasks in Design and Technology. Overall, an excellent course which was very well led.”
Chris Cundall, Assistant Principal, Oryx International School, Qatar
“The course overall was excellent. Mark was brilliant over the two days. His many years of experience in the industry is shown through a well thought out course. I gained valuable new and updated techniques which will be used usefully in lessons to come.”
Mr Richard Michael Knoop, Head of DT, Oryx International School
“The course provided information in all areas that I hoped would be beneficial in my role as DT Technician. It was clear, concise and very useful, especially in making sure for the safety of the students in using the machine, equipment and tools we have. I am also thankful as it made me more confident and to improve better in doing my job.”
Ms Catherine L. Libatique
“An absolutely essential run through best/safe practice in machine use in the DT workshop. An opportunity to discuss and evaluate risk and prevention measures. An opportunity to use most machines in the workshop with the making of a complex object, allowing for repetitive use of the machines and adjustments. A good mix of hands-on tasks, discussions and theoretical learning.”
Mrs Magali Goles
“Professional delivery of course covering H&S within workshop area. Latest legislation covered regarding what is allowed to be done with students and what control measures are required. Discussed changes to legislation and common misconceptions.”
Mr S J Butters
