Children today are growing up surrounded by screens and often have fewer opportunities to move, play and connect with the natural world. Many are arriving at school with less physical confidence, reduced attention spans and lower resilience. Research shows that movement, sensory-rich experiences and open-ended creativity are essential for focus, regulation, communication and problem-solving.

This two-day immersive course is for EYFS and KS1 (age range 2-7 years) teachers who want to bring more movement, play and creativity into their classrooms. You will leave with practical, research-led strategies that support children’s development and create calmer, more connected learning environments.

Day 1 – Movement, sensory awareness and the power of play

Explore how movement and sensory experiences shape behaviour, attention and learning
Take part in hands-on activities that support balance, coordination and regulation
Discover easy-to-use movement games and playful routines for your classroom
Experience a range of open-ended invitations to play that spark imagination and problem-solving
Share and brainstorm creative role play ideas
End the day with a collaborative play challenge to inspire richer play in your setting

Day 2 – Creativity in a digital childhood

Learn simple, inspiring ways to set up creative workstations that invite exploration
Take part in hands-on workshops using a variety of materials and processes
Explore sensory-based activities that link to storytelling and imagination
Work collaboratively on group creative challenges
Leave with a bank of ideas to weave creativity into your daily routines and environment

Price for either day 1 or day 2 is £245.
£245 – Includes one day workshop training, lunch and refreshments.
£395 – Includes two days workshop training, lunch and refreshments.
£990 – Includes two days workshop training, lunch and refreshments, for 3-5 Teachers from your school.

Meet your Trainer: Alexandra Chiorando

Alexandra Chiorando is an experienced early years consultant who has worked as a senior leader in schools and nurseries, as well as a teacher, SENCO, nursery director and Ofsted inspector. For more than 25 years she has supported schools, nurseries and international settings to create environments where children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Her training is active, practical and grounded in research, giving educators strategies they can put into practice straight away.
